A long term project shooting artistic nudes around the Gulf Islands in British Columbia. I lived on Mayne and Salt Spring as a child and though I moved to Vancouver when I was about seven, I still spent many summers with my grandparents on Mayne up until my late teens. Of all the places I’ve been, they feel the most like “home” to me.
This series is a chance for me to spend some more time in the Islands and to highlight their unique features, including some interesting indoor locations. I’ve been shooting digital, as well as 35mm and 6×7 medium format film. I’m hoping to shoot on most of the Islands over the next few years and put the results into a gallery show or printed book.
