A long term project shooting artistic nudes around the Gulf Islands in British Columbia. I lived on Mayne and Salt Spring as a child and though I moved to Vancouver when I was about seven, I still spent many summers with my grandparents on Mayne up until my late teens. Of all the places I've been, they feel the most like “home” to me.

The area of the house I use as my photography studio was once our band recording room. When we built the room for recording the colour didn't matter, and we ended up with a bright yellow. It's really the wrong colour for a photography studio, but it turns out that the colour works really well with skin tones and goes from bright yellow to a reddish orange in the shadows.

A random collection of the softer side of my work. Most models who contact me to shoot want to do something soft and sensual. It's a style that comes to me naturally and reflects the kind of thing I like to see in photos. These are mostly indoor using natural light.

A series of studio images using water in different ways. I really like the way water droplets form on skin, freezing streams of water with flash, and using wet glass to create images that look like they were textured in Photoshop. These are mostly shot in my home using a speedlight and gridded softbox, though I have also shot these on location.
