Tara, Shower

I like shooting in showers… I love shooting water, plus lots of white tile for fill can make for some cool photos. Tara posted a few shots on The Chive and my server is getting hammered as people try to find more pictures of her, so here I am to deliver! I have more, but I might just sit on them for a while… I dunno, Chivers. Show me some love on my Facebook page and maybe I’ll release a few more for you in the next couple days.

Fiona, Intro

I spent a couple of hours shooting with Fiona Wade a few weeks ago around her place. We both had a great time, and if all goes well you’ll be seeing lots more from the two of us. We shot a few different looks, which I’ll post as separate entries over the next few days.

Ashley

Ashley was a blast to work with. It took us a little while to warm up but once she relaxed and we started having fun, we got some great shots

Liz, Triptych

So I’ve been thinking more about how to present images in a way that all works together. I’ve seen some really nice work by other photographers doing diptychs and triptychs mixing different poses and detail shots with the same feel. I’ll be thinking more about it as I shoot sets in the future, but in the mean time here’s one I put together from a shoot with Liz.

Hannah

Here’s a few highlights from my shoot with Hannah at her apartment…

Rhi

Rhi came over to my place to shoot for a couple of hours. She has lots of experience in bright, magazine style glamour modelling, so we thought we try something a little different and include some images with a little more shadow and drama. Enjoy!

Veronika

Veronika saw the bellydancing photographs I’ve taken of our mutual friends Leslie and Heidi, and she wanted to add some images to her modelling portfolio. She came by my house and we spent a couple of hours shooting around the house, studio and back yard.

Teal

We’ve been trying to set up a shoot for a few months and last week it randomly worked out that we could finally shoot. We had a great time improvising around her apartment and neighbourhood. This was her first shoot like this and she did an amazing job. We’ve got plans for lots more!

Nadine

Nadine wanted to do a photoshoot, but we didn’t have any solid plans for a theme so I asked her to bring some random things and we’d improvise with those around the house, studio, and my back yard. We had a fun afternoon – I hope you enjoy the results!

Devon, Pokey

For our shoot, Devon brought a bag full of random clothes that she let me look through for ideas. When I’m doing lifestyle oriented shoots, I usually try to have my subject bring a bunch of different clothes – you never know what we might take inspiration from, or what may work with a location that we hadn’t thought of before the shoot. Devon pulled out this ripped half-shirt which she had made herself and said that she really wanted to use it for a shoot some time. Out in my driveway I’ve got an old 1970s Boler trailer that we use for camping every year. I bought it from my dad when they moved up to a big trailer, and he and his wife had affectionately dubbed it Pokey. It’s seen better days but as soon as I saw the shirt I thought it would be a fun location to work with. Here’s a few of the shots of us having fun out in the driveway.
